Over The Hill Farm Wins Three Circuit Championships, Three Reserve Circuit Championships At HITS Ocala Winter Circuit

Ocala, FL- March 15, 2006- This was a very successful Ocala circuit for the riders and horses of Over the Hill farm as they finished with four Circuit Championships and two Reserve Circuit Championships. Together they won a grand total of twenty-three championships and thirteen reserve championships. They also caught the judges’ attention with their riding style and added seven Best Rider awards to their credit.

In the Green Conformation Hunter division, Cachet was Circuit Champion for owner Lee Cesery of Jacksonville, Florida. Hunt Tosh of Ocala, Florida, had the ride on Cachet and won the championship the first four weeks of the circuit. Cachet also received the Friar Tuck Perpetual Trophy awarded to the Grand Champion Green Conformation Hunter.

Cesery purchased Cachet from Hunt Tosh in early January. The mare had done some dressage and some basic jumping but nothing at the 3’6” height. The pretty bay mare started showing at the Jacksonville Winter Series and finished second in the $5,000 Hunter Classic there. Speaking proudly, Cesery said, “We are so happy things have worked out so well. She is very special. She was champion every week with Hunt and didn’t lose a hack class.”

Cachet was also Circuit Champion in the Amateur Adult Hunter 46 and Over division with Lee Cesery aboard. She captured three championships in the three weeks that she showed in this division. In two of those championship wins, she nearly swept the division, winning four blue ribbons and a single second place. Cesery added, “It’s so special to win the Circuit Championship in both divisions. Hunt has done a beautiful job preparing her. She just has a beautiful jump. I’m not sure how the points work for Devon, but we would love to take her there.”

Role Model was awarded the Circuit Championship in the Children’s Hunter Horse 15-17 division for owner/rider Courtney Rodrigue. Role Model and Rodrigue captured three championships and one reserve championship during their circuit stay.

Showboat won the Reserve Circuit Champion in the Large Green Pony Hunter division for owner Ann Gardner. Showboat was shown by Samantha Schaefer and won five reserve championships.

Over the Hill Farm also won two Reserve Circuit Championships in the Short Stirrup Hunter division. The first was Fancy Feet in the A Section for owners Bill Schaub and Avera Ventures. The second was Two To Tango in the B Section for owner Kristi Thompson. Both ponies were ridden in the Short Stirrup division by young Parker Wright. Seven year old Master Wright shared, “I really like Ocala. It’s a really cool show. I’m going to Tampa next, and I get to ride [in the] small’s [ponies]. I’m going to miss Two To Tango. She’s going to a really nice home in New Jersey to somebody that really needs her.”

Over the Hill Farm and Bill Schaub travel next to the Winter Equestrian Festival for two weeks of competition on March 22 to April 1 in Tampa, FL.
