Horse Sports by the Bay Teams Up With Phelps Media Group
Wellington, FL – January 17, 2007 – Phelps Media Group, Inc. International is pleased to announce that Horse Sports by the Bay, Inc. has joined the PMG team and its expanding list of clients.
Horse Sports by the Bay, Inc. is known for their production of Northern Michigan’s Horse Shows by the Bay and Dressage by the Bay Series. The five show three-week equestrian festival is held in the beautiful resort area of Traverse City, MI, and will run from July 18 through August 5. This year will mark the company’s fourth season of providing world class competition to the Midwest community.
“Horse Shows by the Bay and Dressage by the Bay is one of the fastest growing equestrian festivals in the country, and there is nothing but rave, wonderful reviews coming from everyone who has competed at or attended the show,” said Mason Phelps, Jr., president of Phelps Media Group. “We can’t wait to be a part of the show this summer!”
Highlights of the schedule include a $25,000 Grand Prix class every Sunday, Young Jumper Classics, $10,000 Hunter Classics and the $10,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame JR/AO Jumper Prix, plus a $2500 Musical Freestyle Dressage class. Overall, more than $350,000 is awarded during the three-week period.
Settled in Traverse City, MI, a luxury summer resort area, Horse Shows by the Bay and Dressage by the Bay offer riders more than any ordinary show. The setting is complete with vineyards, beaches, orchards and golf courses; it is much more than a competition. However, the beautiful location is not the only feature that makes the festival one of the best shows in the country.
The second week of the 2007 show has been awarded the prestigious World Championship Hunter Rider Program sanctioning by the American Hunter-Jumper Foundation. Of the more than 25 “AA” rated shows in the Midwest, Horse Shows by the Bay was one of six locations chosen as having the highest standards in footing, scheduling, awards presentations and ceremonies, caliber of judges, stabling, hospitality, and responsiveness to exhibitor feedback.
In addition, the event will offer several charity fundraisers, exhibitor socials, exhibitions and a comprehensive Kid’s Day. All events will take place at the new show facility, which is currently under construction.
