Horse Shows by the Bay Adds Hunter Classic Prize Money to 2007 Summer Series

Traverse City, MI � June 4, 2007 � Horse Sports by the Bay, the producer of Horse Shows by the Bay and Zada Enterprises Dressage by the Bay, are excited to announce that they have added $25,000 in hunter classic prize money to the three-week equestrian festival, which will be held from July 18-August 5, 2007.
The $10,000 Horse Shows by the Bay Adult Hunter Classic is a new feature for the schedule and is generously sponsored by Lisa A.H. Cudahy. The adult classic will take place during Series I and is open to all adult amateur riders that have shown in at least two over fences classes in their respective section. The prize money will be divided among the top ten finishers.
Another new classic is the $10,000 Junior/Amateur-Owner/Professional Hunter Classic, which is sponsored by Wrenwood Farm and will be held during Series II. The class counts toward the USEF/USHJA Year End High Score Awards. The third classic, the $5,000 Horse Shows by the Bay Children�s Hunter Classic, will be held during Series I and is co-sponsored by Baskin Farm, Equisports Inc., and Fair Acres Farm.
The second rounds of each classic will be featured in the Main Hunter Ring and exhibitors will be treated to complimentary drinks and dinner ringside to enjoy the classes. Brookwood Farm & Hillside Farm and Friends serve as party sponsors.
In addition to the hunter classics, several special awards will be presented during the three weeks of competition. The Susan Wallace Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the horse accumulating the most points overall in the Regular or Green Conformation Hunter divisions at Horse Shows by the Bay Series I, II and III. The trophy has been donated by Top Call Farm and Greg Crolick in memory of Susan Wallace.
The Fancy Footwork Memorial Trophy will be awarded to the horse accumulating the most points overall in either the Children�s Hunter Horse or Children�s Jumper divisions during the three series. The Fancy Footwork trophy has been donated by Courtney Franciso in memory of her horse, Fancy Footwork.
Grand Hunter awards, sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Forrest Shook, will be given weekly to the horse earning the most points in each division section, including the Conformation Hunter, Working Hunter, Junior Hunter, Amateur-Owner Hunter, Adult Hunter, Pony Hunter and Children�s Hunter Horse and Pony Sections. English Riding Supply is also sponsoring the �Ovation� Leading Rider Series Awards, which will be awarded to leading riders from the Professional, Junior, Adult, Amateur, Pony and Children�s hunter, jumper and dressage divisions. English Riding Supply is a well known equestrian company that distributes products prominent in the horse show world, such as Pessoa, Mountain Horse, Veredus and Ovation.
Horse Sports by the Bay, Inc. produces the series and also offers Zada Enterprises, LLC�s Dressage by the Bay I and II from August 2 through August 5. Traverse City, MI is famous for its annual cherry production, resort-like atmosphere, and mild summer climate. This year will mark the company�s fourth season of providing first class competition to the Midwest community.
