Florida Coast Equipment took center stage as the weekly sponsor for an action-packed Week 8 at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF). Spencer Smith (USA) continued his impressive season, capturing his first $32,000 Adequan® CSIO4* WEF Challenge Cup victory of the year.

In the hunter rings, Gothic, owned by J T Farm and piloted by Victoria Colvin, claimed top honors in the 3’6” Green Hunter Incentive Stake. Meanwhile, Emily Williams guided Golden Road to victory in the 3’9” Green Hunter Incentive Stake for owners John and Stephanie Ingram, LLC.

The BrainJuice U25 series made its return in an electrifying $32,000 BrainJuice U25 Semi-Final Grand Prix under the lights of the International Arena on Friday evening. Ireland’s Tim Brennan emerged victorious, marking a major milestone in the penultimate event of the series.

A highlight of the week was the $150,000 CSIO4* Nations Cup, presented by Florida Coast Equipment, where the U.S. Show Jumping Team secured their tenth team victory in Wellington. The winning squad—Natalie Dean (Marigold Sporthorses’ Acota M), Carly Anthony (Heavenly W, owned by Portfolio Horses), Charlotte Jacobs (Playboy JT Z, owned by North Star), and Laura Kraut (Tres Bien Z, owned by St. Brides Farm)—delivered flawless rounds to clinch the title.

Closing out the week, Mexico’s Arturo Parada Vallejo and Fellow Van’t Moerven soared to victory in Sunday’s $200,000 JTWG, Inc. CSIO4* Grand Prix. The duo delivered the only double-clear performance in a thrilling four-horse jump-off.

Looking Ahead

The excitement continues as we gear up for CSI5* and CSI2* competition during week 9 of WEF, along with top-tier hunter derbies at Equestrian Village. Bainbridge Companies is the weekly sponsor, and Saturday Night Lights will feature a Sip & Shop event in the International Club Lobby from 6 – 7:30 PM, offering passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, and boutique shopping before the Grand Prix. This special event is free and open to all visitors—don’t miss it!
