OPEN POSITIONS

Ideal candidates should possess solid knowledge of hunter/jumper or dressage disciplines. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in public relations, marketing, journalism and client management skills. Current knowledge of social media platforms is required. Additional skills in photography, videography and design are highly desirable.

Candidates should demonstrate leadership skills, initiative, possess a strong work ethic, and be a team player.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Account/Client Management
  • Designing, implementing and managing social media campaigns
  • Writing media releases and feature stories
  • Covering competitions and other events (including photography)
  • Preparing agendas, clippings, collateral for client meetings
  • Leading or participating in client meetings
  • Disseminating press releases, media alerts and calendar listings
  • Designing event invitations, posters, magazine covers, etc. for reprints

The position is based in Wellington, Florida, and requires extensive travel. PMG offers competitive salaries and benefits, dependent on experience and skills.

This integral part of the Phelps Media Group team will perform all functions related to administrative assistance and day-to-day management of Phelps Media’s office suite. 

Ideal candidates will excel in computer literacy, and have strong skills on Mac & Google Suite and programs. Strong working knowledge within, Docs, Sheets, Word and Excel is required.

Candidate will also perform some duties as an marketing account coordinator for our equestrian accounts. 

Therefore interest and/or experience is required in the equestrian industry, preferably  within the disciplines of Hunters, Jumpers & Dressage.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Receiving calls on multi-line phone
  • Receiving clients
  • Maintaining a clean, socially distanced and safe office environment
  • Attend client/staff meetings (via zoom or in person) to capture meeting minutes/notes.
  • Coordinate special events
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for staff and upper management
  • Maintain contact with partners, account managers, staff and clients
  • Support General Manager in day-to-day running of office including mail, light errands, and Amazon supply orders.

This Full Time position is based in Wellington, Florida.

PMG takes great pride in our ability to attract, recruit and develop fresh talent who will excel in the media industry.

OPEN INTERNSHIPS

PMG’s annual summer and winter internship programs are offered to junior and senior college students, recent graduates and individuals interested in pursuing a career in equestrian-focused media.

Interns are mentored by a seasoned account executive to ensure a quality level of education in the areas of public relations, journalism, client management and more. Throughout the program, interns will be responsible for photographing and writing news articles about the Winter Equestrian Festival, the Adequan Global Dressage Festival, other competitions and clinics for our news websites, PhelpsSports.com and PSdressage.com. They will also support hands-on tasks ranging from publishing press releases and feature magazine articles to social media management and website maintenance.

Ideal candidates should have an equestrian background with majors in public relations, marketing, journalism or a related field. Applicants should have strong writing skills and some knowledge of equestrian competition. Experience in photography and/or graphic design is helpful but not required.

The winter internship is available from January through early April in Wellington, Florida, while the summer internship runs from late May through August with interns traveling across the United States for horse show coverage. It is a paid internship and interns must be able to provide their own housing and transportation. PMG will also assist with anything required for academic credit.
