Colten Parker and Jack & Jill Drive to Victory in Devon’s Return of Carriage Eventing

Carriage Eventing returned to the Devon Horse Show in thrilling fashion, bringing speed, precision, and serious horsepower back to the grounds. Combining the strategy of cross-country eventing with the adrenaline of carriage driving, the class challenged competitors to navigate a fast-paced timed course where every second and every inch mattered.

Drivers raced through both the Wheeler Ring and Dixon Oval, guiding their horses and carriages through tight turns and technical obstacles at impressive speed. A clipped obstacle meant costly penalties, making accuracy just as important as pace in front of an energized Devon crowd.

The competition featured two rounds, with the top six drivers returning for a final showdown. In the end, Colten Parker and his pair of full-sibling Welsh Pony crosses, Jack and Jill, secured victory with the fastest combined time across both rounds.
