Dom Perignon and Maxima Lanasa Named Devon Grand Junior Hunter Champion

Devon, Pennsylvania – May 23, 2026 – Junior Hunter division competition came to a close on Saturday afternoon with the crowning of numerous 3’6″ Junior Hunter champions, culminating with the naming of the 2026 Devon Grand Junior Hunter Champion.

Dom Perignon, Samantha O’Brien’s 2013 Warmblood gelding, and Maxima Lanasa earned the titles of:

Large Junior Hunter 15 & Under Champion
Overall Large Junior Hunter Champion
Devon Grand Junior Hunter Champion

Dom Perignon was also the recipient of the Angelo Award, which is presented to the Junior Hunter horse who, in the opinion of the judges, best exemplifies the classic hunter horse in movement, jumping style, and presence. This award is not based on points won in the show.

“Yesterday, obviously, it went so well. I’m so happy. And today, I wanted just to keep that momentum, and I know my horse, like, he’ll do anything,” stated Lanasa. “I knew he could win, and I just wanted to get him the ride that he deserves.”
