Devon, Pennsylvania – September 12, 2025 – Saturday night’s $25,000 Devon Fall Classic Grand Prix, sponsored by Bryn Mawr Hospital & Main Line Health, drew a full crowd to the Dixon Oval for the final under-the-lights class of the year. Local favorites and international riders squared off in an exhilarating seven-horse jump-off. Ultimately, Elizabeth Traband and Eddie Blue prevailed and were presented with a blue ribbon and the “Ever After” Perpetual Trophy.

Thirty-seven horse-and-rider combinations took on Manuel Esparza’s (MEX) first-round course Saturday night. Traband executed her plan to break the track down jump by jump, delivering a double clear to secure her spot at the top.

Reflecting on her first Grand Prix victory, Traband said, “I don’t think you can explain it. Devon is a place you just dream about as a kid. It’s the place where you watch your first class. You really get the bug here, so it’s pretty full circle.”

Eddie Blue, while seasoned in the show ring, is a newer partner for Traband. Following the advice of his previous owner, Lori Larabee, she has taken her time to build a partnership over the past few months. “He is a once-in-a-lifetime horse,” shared Traband.

Competition at the 12th annual Devon Fall Classic concludes Sunday, September 14, with Junior and Amateur jumper competition.
