Wednesday evening marked the first day of jumper competition at the 142nd National Horse Show with two back-to-back classes, the $5,000 1.30m Open Jumper Welcome and the $10,000 1.40m Open Jumper Welcome. Show jumping competition comes to a head during Barn Night at the National Horse Show on Saturday with the $20,000 CMJ Sporthorse 1.35m Open Jumper Grand Prix and the highlight, $100,000 CMJ Sporthorse 1.45m Open Jumper Grand Prix.

It was Adriana Forte and First Blue LLC’s Holsteiner gelding, Arctic Blue (Larimar x Sophia III) who topped the first jumper class of the evening topping the $5,000 1.30m Open Jumper Welcome.

Skylar Wireman and her own Holsteiner gelding, Citoki (Catoki x Miyaki) closed out competition in the Alltech Arena on Wednesday evening with a win in the $10,000 1.40m Open Jumper Welcome.

Show jumping competition continues on Thursday, October 30, with the $10,000 1.30m Open Jumper Speed Stake.
