JJ Torano Earns Second Straight Junior Jumper Victory at Devon

Devon, Pennsylvania – May 22, 2026 – JJ Torano continued his winning streak in the Junior Jumper division at the 130th Devon Horse Show and Country Fair, returning to the Dixon Oval on Friday evening to secure his second victory of the week in the $3,750 1.40m Junior Jumper Class aboard North Run’s Hanoverian stallion, Lyon 50 (Lord Argentinus x Lexi’s Girl).

The win came one day after Torano captured top honors in Thursday’s $3,750 1.40m Junior Jumper Speed Class with the same mount, marking the second consecutive year that the young rider has swept the opening two Junior Jumper classes at Devon.

“It’s a great feeling to go two years in a row and win these first two opening classes,” said Torano.

Friday night’s class featured a six-horse jump-off, with Torano returning second-to-last in the order to deliver the winning round and edge out Amy Krebbs aboard her own Jabantos. Scarlett Samuels piloted Channel Equestrian LLC’s Confidence to third place.

With two victories already secured during Junior Week, the 15-year-old Torano will now look to complete the sweep in Saturday night’s featured $20,000 SJHF 1.45m Junior Jumper Classic.
