What once started as a way to continue buying and selling top horses during the COVID-19 pandemic is now an international success for what will be the third year running. The Collection, an online auction of 16 carefully curated high performance sport horses, was founded by Steve Tinti of ST Stables and Carlos Pinto and Willemijn Poels of Milestone Farm in Belgium and the Netherlands, respectively. The auction is host to Tinti and Pinto’s top young horses that have proven themselves with international results, competition experience and FEI records. Aiming to be the optimal forum for both amateurs with elevated goals and professionals looking for a horse to take them to the next level, The Collection includes eye-catching hunters and show jumping horses chosen for their multi-faceted excellence in multiple areas.

“It’s one of the only auctions that has so many horses that are proven internationally,” comments Tinti. “Most international horses for sale are normally ones you’ve never seen before and can’t really check their record. With The Collection, its horses we brought up and have had for a while. We can provide results, videos, vet checks, x-rays, everything. It’s a very open and clear process and very easily accessible to find everything on our website.”

Grand Prix Prospect- 2015 Mare, Ponolette (Quint van het Maarlo x Lys de Darmen x Darco)

Before the auction, potential buyers have the ability to try the horses in person and vet them, tasks similar to a typical sales trial. The only difference from the usual buying process is that they then must bid on their favorites through the online auction.

The website is host to 16 separate catalog pages full of swoon-worthy pictures of each horse as well as schooling and competition videos, vet records and details on pedigree, temperament, abilities and show record, if applicable. The 2022 Collection includes bloodlines of some of the sport’s top athletes such as Cornet Ololensky, Quidam de Revel, Indoctro, Chacco Blue and Diamant de Semilly. Ranging in age from 5 years old to 7 years old, the catalog features 10 mares and six geldings.

Hunter Prospect- 2017 Gelding, Kannatol City PS (Kannatol x Glock’s London x Chacco Blue)

Out of the 2022 collection, Tinti and Pinto believe the 2016 Gelding, Corlino PS, and the 2015 Mare, Ponolette, will thrive in the international grand prix ranks, while the 2017 Gelding, Kannatol City PS, will take the hunter ring by storm. If you are looking for an exceptional 5-year-old to add to your program, Lovely Rose de Bellignies, the talented daughter of the Olympic Sire Emerald, will be the one to look for. Her way of jumping, athleticism, and wonderful attitude is sure to make her a barn favorite.

The Collection auction will begin May 27 and will conclude 48 hours later on May 29 with the starting price for each horse at  €20,000.

UNICEF is working with partners to aid the families and children of Ukraine with life saving supplies and essential services such as health, education, protection, water, and sanitation.
