Over 12,000 Dogs Saved!

The Difference We Are Making With Your Help
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As you may know, Danny & Ron’s Rescue began because our hearts were moved to help dogs and the people who loved them, facing a life-threatening crisis. When we landed in Louisiana 15 years ago after Hurricane Katrina to lend a hand, we could never have imagined how our work would grow. We were just two people who loved dogs and wanted to help. It was then that made a promise, one we have stayed true to all these years later.
We promised that the dogs we rescued would never live in a shelter, would never be needy, and never be unloved.
Our work began as a response to a crisis and continues today with the same singular purpose: to save dogs and help humans, especially in disaster’s wake. Today, we find ourselves facing simultaneous crises, the likes of which we’ve never seen as a nation.  We are confronting the impact of devastating fires in the west, back-to-back hurricanes in the south, and the ongoing ravages of COVID-19 nationwide.

And yet with the bitter also comes the sweet. Today, we are celebrating 12,232 canine lives saved because of the devotion of our amazing staff, scores of volunteers, and generous donors like yourself.
As we write you this letter, we are boots on the ground in Louisiana yet again, delivering much-needed supplies to the local shelters and bringing dogs back home with us to the “Doghouse.”  We are also working closely with our west coast partners to help dogs who have been abandoned or injured by the fires. And, we continue to support the dogs of the families affected by COVID-19.

As we navigate these challenging times and renew the promise we made in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, we find ourselves reflecting on the other thing that has remained true: We could not do this work without YOU.You have unceasingly supported us and our mission to save dogs and help humans during even the most difficult times. The fact that we have now rescued more than 12,000 dogs is a testament to your generosity and heart, and we are forever grateful.
Thank you for continuing to walk alongside us on this journey of being a voice for forgotten, abandoned, and abused dogs. With your help, we can keep telling their stories and giving them the “happily ever after” they deserve.
With love and gratitude,
