2019 Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, Presented by CaptiveOne, Weeks I, II and III Entries Close Monday!

Traverse City, Mich. – May 31, 2019 – The 2019 Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), presented by CaptiveOne, is just over four weeks away and exhibitors are gearing up to return to beautiful Traverse City, Michigan, for the fifth installment of the popular summer circuit.
If you haven’t done so already, now is the time to get your entries in for GLEF Weeks I, II and III! The entry deadline is Monday, June 3, and will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until sold out. Submit your entries and stall reservations as soon as possible at the buttons below:

In addition, the entry deadline for Weeks IV, V and VI is July 1. Exhibitors can submit their entries for GLEF 2019 online at www.horseshowsonline.com.
In 2018, the show received rave reviews from exhibitors, and with the addition of the $25,000 CaptiveOne Open Jumper Rider Bonus, the Dudley B. Smith Equitation Championship and Dudley B. Smith Trainer Awards, totaling $10,000, as well as the extensive improvements and upgrades that have been made to the facility and footing, courtesy of 4G Surfaces and GGT Footing, throughout the Flintfields Horse Park, this year’s event is sure to be the best one yet!
Offering new classes and a significant increase in prize money throughout the show, Weeks III-VI will also include FEI-rated show jumping competitions, featuring CSI2* and CSI3* grand prix events that will offer $71,200 in prize money (increased from $50,000 in 2018) during Weeks III and IV and $133,700 (increased from $100,000 in 2018) during the final two weeks (Weeks V and VI). Weeks V and VI will also host $35,700 FEI classes on Thursday and Friday.

The hunters will take center stage at GLEF as World Championship Hunter Rider (WCHR) week will be highlighted during Week II, while the highly anticipated $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, sponsored by Copper Fox LLC, will be held during Week IV. Weekly USHJA National Hunter Derby competitions will also be offered throughout Weeks I-V.
The very popular Equitation Tuesday competitions, held each Tuesday during Weeks II-V, will also return to GLEF in 2019, providing equitation exhibitors ample opportunities to collect double the amount of valuable qualifying points per week in one location!

With its convenient location in the heart of Traverse City, traveling through the Cherry Capital Airport – TVC is the ideal situation for those participating at GLEF this summer.
