Lexington, Ky. – May 12, 2022 – International show jumping competition at the Kentucky Spring Horse Show (KSHS) returned to the Rolex Arena Thursday for an exciting evening of competition. Out of an impressive field of 66 talented athletes and their horses entered in the $37,000 Kentucky Spring Classic 1.45m CSI3*, just 13 pairs managed to navigate clear efforts to advance to the jump off. In the end, it was Great Britain’s Amanda Derbyshire and Cornwall BH who saved the best for last to emerge at the top of the leaderboard.

After multiple victorious rides in the StoneLea Ring, Christopher Payne and Gratitude, owned by Stillwater Farm LLC, swept the hunter competition to be named Grand Hunter Champion at the Kentucky Spring Horse Show (KSHS). Concluding two days of top-notch hunter performance in the Green 3’6’’ and 3’9’’ Hunter, Green Confirmation Hunter, High Performance Conformation Hunter and High-Performance Working Hunter, it was Payne and Gratitude to accumulate the most points to secure the win amongst the large field of elite horse-and-rider combinations.
Santiago Lambre Goes All-In for the Win in $37,000 1.45m Welcome Speed CSI3*
Lexington, Ky. – May 11, 2022 – FEI show jumping athletes descended on the historic Rolex Arena Wednesday evening for the $37,000 1.45m Welcome Speed CSI3*, marking the first official day of competition at the Kentucky Spring Horse Show. Eager to start their two weeks off at the Kentucky Horse Park on a high note, riders from nine different nations duked it out on course in hopes of claiming the first prize of the series. In the end, it was ultimately Santiago Lambre (BRA) who topped the leaderboard with the fastest round of the evening aboard All In Horses Cava.
Scott Stewart and For Always Earn Top Honors in the Green Hunter Incentive Stake
Eager equestrians were thrilled to be back in the Bluegrass state as the Kentucky Horse Show kicked off their 2022 Spring show series Wednesday, May 12, at the remarkable Kentucky Horse Park. The sun rose on the StoneLea Arena to set the scene for top hunter horse-and-rider combinations to try their hand at the beautifully built track. Competition was stiff for the opening day with only three points separating the podium finishers. In the end, it was Scott Stewart aboard For Always, owned by Dr. Betsee Parker, who took top honors in the Combined Green 3’6” & 3’9” Hunter Incentive Stake with an impressive score of 92 points.
