Brett Carman Joins Wellington National as Director of Golf

Carman attended Methodist College in Fayetteville, North Carolina, and individually finishing in second place in the 1998 NCAA Division III Men’s Golf Championship. His team also won the National Championship. After college, Carman played the Canadian Golf Tour for two years, qualifying for two PGA Tour events.

“When I was offered the position, I was excited about the opportunity because I believe the course at Wellington National is one of the best layouts in Palm Beach County,” Carman said. “With renovations wrapping up at the clubhouse and golf events getting underway, the club is becoming a Wellington highlight. I’m thrilled with the opportunity to be a part of a place that has limitless potential.”

Carman’s focus will be on growing the golf community in Wellington, and creating member and charity tournaments. The 18-hole championship-caliber golf course sprawls across more than 250 acres and was originally designed by Hall of Fame golfer Johnny Miller. Renovations of the course include edging all of the existing bunkers, re-sodding, adding new sand, laser leveling the tee boxes, and removing over 700 truckloads of overgrowth and weed suppression.
