Just for St. Paddy’s Day, Brooke USA’s White Party Goes Green with St. Patrick’s Day Casino Night. For the occasion, the highly anticipated event has a new look and feel with themed décor, entertainment, food and drinks, and a new venue to boot. The “can’t miss” event of the social season will be held on Thursday, March 17, from 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. at the Wellington National Golf Club and, for the second consecutive year, will be presented exclusively by Lugano Diamonds.
Katherine Kaneb, event founder and Chairman of the Board of Brooke USA, expressed her delight with the Lugano Diamonds partnership. “We’re thrilled to have Lugano Diamonds participate, once again, in this event. Their support of our work demonstrates the company’s commitment to equestrian initiatives and to Brooke USA as we help working equines and their owners all over the world. We are truly honored to have them by our side and know they will add that ‘special sparkle’ to the occasion.”
“We are thrilled to join Brooke USA again,” said Moti Ferder, CEO and design director of Lugano Diamonds. “I know that friends and supporters of Brooke USA will enjoy perusing some of our most magnificent pieces in our Lugano Diamonds Lounge. We are also delighted to offer a percentage of sales from the night and beyond to Brooke USA.”
At Brooke USA’s White Party Goes Green with St. Patrick’s Day Casino Night, guests will be enveloped in Las Vegas-style casino gaming, including blackjack, three card poker, craps, roulette, and slots machines. A private, by reservation only, poker tournament will also take place for those wanting to enjoy the game while raising funds for Brooke USA. Casino Party Nights Florida provides the casino gaming tables for entertainment purposes only. All donations and proceeds go toward supporting the mission of Brooke USA Foundation (Brooke USA).
Upon arrival, guests will enjoy a showing of traditional Irish dancers brought to the party by the Kelly Academy of Irish Dance from Ft. Lauderdale. DJ Adam Lipson will provide the dance music for the night and Chef Brian Scotto of Wellington National will deliver a creative twist on the traditional Irish fare.
Brooke USA’s yearly party in Wellington is one of the most notable events of the winter equestrian season, selling out each year and toting a veritable who’s who of Wellington and Palm Beach. Since its inception, it has raised more than $2 million for Brooke USA. Funds from the event have helped build water troughs and health posts in Ethiopia, construct shade shelters in Kenya, improve working conditions in the brick kilns of India, sponsor development projects in Guatemala and Nicaragua, and helped equine nonprofits in the United States who suffered financial loss or intake overcrowding due the pandemic.
This year, funds raised will help support Brooke USA’s programs in India with the planting and building of Azolla pits. Azolla is an aquatic fern that grows in still waters and is used as a nutritious feed supplement. It is rich in protein, essential amino acids, carotenoids, vitamins, and minerals, thus promoting the good health of working equines. The goal is to construct 376 Azolla pits to help ensure feed supplements for the animals in the nation.
