Buffalo, N.Y. – Nov. 22, 2017 – The Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center (BTRC) concluded its 2017 program schedule on Monday, Nov. 20, capping off a great year with the highly anticipated Year-End Celebration. The BTRC would like to thank head instructor Amanda Calistro for an amazing year as well as Michael Taylor and Taylor Harris Insurance Services for their sponsorship of this wonderful event.
The BTRC’s sessions provide a relaxing, non-academic environment in which children can interact with adults and peers and, more importantly, with their horse. Yet, none of it would be possible without the help of the BTRC’s amazing group of volunteers. The BTRC would also like to thank the fantastic teachers who work with Calistro: Jessica Eaves, Christine Ruh, Jennifer Hemingway, Courtney Pfifer and Serena Nichols.
Although sessions for 2017 have come to a close, the Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center is already looking forward to 2018! Sessions will resume in May 2018 and are always held on Monday afternoons from 3:30–7 p.m. If you are interested in becoming a BTRC volunteer in 2018, please click here for more information.
The Buffalo Therapeutic Riding Center houses both the Buffalo Equestrian Center as well as SBS Farms, Inc. Built in 1922, the 160-stall facility is a historical landmark, with its unique English Tudor and Gothic-style architecture.
