Wellington, Fla. – Jan. 22, 2019 – Renowned trainer and celebrated US Equestrian (USEF) “R” rated judge Susie Humes is excited to announce the launch of her new business venture, The Winning Edge. The Winning Edge is an online educational tool that grants exclusive access to judging critique and advice from Humes as well as some of the top trainers in North America as guest professionals. The Winning Edge’s panel of experts offers thoughtful and constructive feedback to competitors who want to significantly improve their chances of winning in the show arena and correct training difficulties. Their guest professionals have judged some of the nation’s most prestigious horse shows and will customize their feedback to improve riders’ performance in the ring.
The Winning Edge offers customers the opportunity to purchase judging evaluation for hunter or equitation rounds, conformation critique or questions to “Ask the Experts.” Humes, along with the featured guest professionals, will send a detailed evaluation of the round or horse’s conformation with helpful tips and suggestions to give riders the added edge that will help them stand out in the show ring.
Humes is a USEF “R” rated judge with a career spanning over four decades. Humes’ judging resume includes many of the country’s top horse shows such as the National Horse Show, the Devon Horse Show, the Los Angeles National Horse Show, the Hampton Classic and the Winter Equestrian Festival, to name a few. She has trained top hunter, equitation and jumper horses including Saloon, Tabasco, Rio Bravo, Naomi, True Love, Gulliver, and Officer, to name a few. Humes has also judged all of the major national equitation finals, including the USEF Pony Medal Final, the AHSA/USEF Hunter Seat Medal Final, the ASPCA Maclay National Championship and the Washington International Horse Show Equitation Final. Humes is currently the vice chairman of the National Horse Show.

Her insightful observations along with her professional advice and guidance have given her students the winning edge in the show ring for decades, with students winning each major equitation final.
