London, United Kingdom – April 23, 2020 – While the world is on lockdown to slow the spread of the coronavirus, Horse & Country (H&C) has produced an exciting new series called “The Check In”. Hosted by H&C’s executive producer, Jenny Rudall, “The Check In” features video interviews with equestrian personalities, governing bodies and top riders of various disciplines. There are up to 3 new episodes available each week – airing on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 3:30 p.m. EDT on H&C Free – before becoming available for free on demand on the H&C website or app.
The series so far has featured interviews with Alan Davies, an FEI Best Groom Award recipient, Olympian Boyd Martin, Marcus Capel, the CEO of The Pony Club, Nina Barbour, the President of the Liverpool Horse Show, and many others! In one of the most recent episodes, Olympian Carl Hester discussed how he is coping with life in lockdown, the impact of the postponement of the 2020 Olympics, his Equestrian Relief fundraising efforts to benefit the British NHS, and the recent passing of an important figure in his life, Dr Wilfried Bechtolsheimer.
With the wild popularity of the first few episodes of “The Check In”, H&C expanded their team to include popular US-based sports announcer, Catie Staszask. The U.S.-edition of “The Check In” series debuts Friday, April 24 and will include interviews with Israeli showjumper Ashlee Bond and four-time Olympian Steffen Peters.
All episodes of “The Check In” are free to watch on demand on H&C’s website as well as repeat showings on the H&C Free Channel. Follow H&C to keep up to date on “The Check In” as you don’t want to miss the scoop!
