Culinary All-Star Team Prepares to Delight Spectators at 2017 CP Palm Beach Masters Presented by SOVARO®

Wellington, Fla. – Jan. 16, 2017 – In addition to an amazing array of show jumping athletes and the inviting and luxurious facilities of beautiful Deeridge Farms, this year’s second edition of the CP Palm Beach Masters CSI3*-W, presented by SOVARO®, scheduled for Feb. 2–5, will feature some of the best chefs and culinary professionals in the world showcasing their finest cuisine.

Iron chef Masaharu Morimoto and his team will join this year’s Taylor Harris Club at the CP Palm Beach Masters to prepare sushi and participate in a meet and greet with guests on the final day of the competition. Chef Morimoto became a household name after starring on Iron Chef and Iron Chef America. Known for his innovative approach to blending Western and Japanese ingredients, chef Morimoto is at the forefront of the culinary world with restaurants in New York City, Hawaii, Mumbai, New Delhi and Boca Raton, Florida, to name a few. Together with Patina Restaurant Group, which is owned by the Jacobs family’s company Delaware North, chef Morimoto opened Morimoto Asia in Walt Disney World Resort’s Disney Springs. The restaurant features an award-winning pan-Asian menu and includes a dining room, lounge, sushi bar and terrace dining.

The Taylor Harris Club will also feature the executive chef of the Carolina Panthers, John Morey, as well as executive chefs John Wilson and Heath Barbato of the Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers. Chefs Morey, Wilson and Barbato provide unique and playful dishes to NFL fans throughout each football season, and will bring their signature culinary styles to the CP Palm Beach Masters. Culinary teams from the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers will also be on hand. Personnel at the front of the house will be under the direction of Vincent Carriere, director of food and beverages for Sportservice at Delaware North.

The culinary offerings will include fresh Florida fish, seafood and fruit, while the bar will feature specialty drinks created by the Palm Beach Masters’ curated mixologist in addition to delicious bloody marys, mimosas and lemonade in a variety of flavors. Individual stations will also feature a selection of prime meats, pasta, risotto, stir fry and breakfast, using fresh eggs from Deeridge Farms’ own chickens, as well as a taco and raw bar.

This exclusive level of VIP hospitality reflects the care, attention to detail and dedication to equestrian sport that is embodied by the Jacobs family and Deeridge Farms.

“Our VIP guests in the Taylor Harris Club will be treated to an extraordinary, five-star experience,” said Lou Jacobs, event founder. “We are excited to deliver a truly memorable event for our spectators.”
