Day One Domination Goes to Mavis Spencer and Con Calle in the EquiFit $5,000 1.35 Welcome at Temecula Valley National Premier 1
Temecula, Ca. – April 21, 2021 – It was all systems go at Galway Downs on Wednesday as day one of competition during the Temecula Valley National Premier I kicked off with busy rings all across the park. The Grand Prix Arena was teeming with top talent as competitors prepared their horses for a week of exciting competition. In the $5,000 1.35m Welcome sponsored by EquiFit, 29 horse and rider pairs contested Peter Grant’s 14-effort course, but it was West Coast wonder Mavis Spencer and Con Calle who would ultimately emerge victorious.
Leslie Steele and Aventus Lead Day One Green Conformation Hunters
The 2021 Nilforushan Equisport Events season kicked off Wednesday, April 21 with hunter competition taking to the Grand Hunter Arena for day one of the Temecula Valley National Premier I. Snagging the early lead in the Green Conformation Hunters was Leslie Steele and Aventus, who nearly made a clean sweep during day one of the division’s competition. Also sitting pretty leading into Thursday’s championship crowning in the Green 3’6” Hunter division is Jamie Taylor riding Ever So Often, while Katie Taylor and L’con Reyes are hoping to secure their success in the High Performance 3’9” Hunters with a tricolor on Thursday after exceptional performances Wednesday afternoon.
