Gay Polo League Thanks Event Partners for 8th Annual International Gay Polo Tournament

Wellington, Fla. – April 4, 2017 – With only a few days until the 8th Annual International Gay Polo Tournament presented by the Palm Beach County Human Rights Council, the Gay Polo League (GPL) would like to thank their premier event partners.

Since its inaugural tournament in 2010, the International Gay Polo Tournament has matured into the most anticipated and exciting social event of the polo season. The GPL recognizes and appreciates the important role its event partners play in this growth.

“GPL is excited to salute its partners who contribute tremendously to our event,” said Chip McKenney, Founder and President of GPL. “We are thrilled to align this event with so many wonderful brands. We appreciate our returning partners for continuing their support, and we’re excited to add new ones who will share the GPL experience for the first time.”

Palm Beach County Human Rights Counsel, a local organization that is dedicated to ending discrimination based on sexual orients, gender identity and gender expression, has been a long time partner of the GPL.  This year, PBCHRC is the Presenting Sponsor.

Cherry Knoll Farm once again is the named partner for the VIP Tent.

“This year, the GPL is focusing on raising much needed funds to help LGBTQ youth. I share their passion for helping disadvantaged kids which is one reason I am happy to help sponsor the event.” Margaret Duprey of Cherry Knoll Farm said. “My second reason is that it brings together people from outside Wellington and equestrian communities. It’s such a fun event and I am proud to be part of it.”

Ms. Patricia Quick returns to host the illustrious GPL Polotini Party that will be held for the first time at The Wanderers Club in Wellington.

The four competing teams will wear the colors of returning sponsors, Cedar Crest, Goshen Hill, RSM and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek. The new team jerseys are designed and manufactured by the world-famous La Martina, the Official Supplier of the GPL.

“I am very proud and excited to be a supporter of the GPL,” said President of the Goshen Hill Foundation, Inc., Caroline Moran. “Not only is it the hottest event of the season, Chip McKenney and his team have done a masterful job in turning the game of polo into a platform for human rights. It is a feel good event in every way and one that is not to be missed!”

Discover the Palm Beaches, RBC Wealth Management, Sperry Tents, Accurate Event Group and Phelps Media Group round out the list of returning companies who support the International Gay Polo Tournament.

This year, GPL welcomes Land Rover Palm Beach, Benjamin Deaton Design and Summers Neurosurgery LLC to the annual international gay polo tournament for the first time and could not be more thrilled.

“As one of the most highlighted events of the winter season, the International Gay Polo Tournament produces a clientele from the highest level of market to reach out to,” Goldstein remarked. “For us there is no better place to be than this spectacular venue for this remarkable event to make a bold statement and start a great partnership for the future.”

GPL is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization and is delighted to host the annual event focusing on raising awareness and funds to help put an end to the homelessness crisis among the LGBTQ youth and to create scholarships for LGBTQ youth seeking a higher education.
