Traverse City, Mich. – Sept. 9, 2021 – Competition during Week II of the Tournament of Champions continued Thursday, September 9, with the Silver Oak Jumper Tournament, presented by The Davis McCullough Foundation. A field of 31 decorated international athletes stepped foot in the Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel International Ring for their shot at the top prize in the $36,600 Malvern Bank 1.45m Two-Phase CSI3*. In the end, it was Great Britain’s Gracey Debney aboard Temple Equestrian LLC’s Boheme de la Roque who emerged at the forefront of the victory gallop, also earning valuable points toward the CaptiveOne Advisors Open Jumper Rider Bonus that will come to a pinnacle in just over one week.

Kelsey Epperson and Debonair Claim Green Hunter 3’ Championship

Hunter competition resumed Thursday, September 9, at the Flintfields Horse Park, brining top riders and their mounts to the Polk Family Hunter Ring for the culmination of the Green Hunter 3’ and Green Hunter 3’3” divisions, as well as the USHA Green Hunter Incentive 3’-3’3”. In the Green Hunter 3’ division, it was Kelsey Epperson and Debra Gross’ Debonair who topped the competitive field, while Tiffany Morrissey and East Wind Farms LLC’s Phanomen V bested the Green Hunter 3’3” division.
