A field of 31 decorated international athletes stepped foot in the Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel International Ring for their shot at the top prize in the $36,600 Malvern Bank 1.45m Two-Phase CSI3*. In the end, it was Great Britain’s Gracey Debney aboard Temple Equestrian LLC’s Boheme de la Roque who emerged at the forefront of the victory gallop, also earning valuable points toward the CaptiveOne Advisors Open Jumper Rider Bonus that will come to a pinnacle in just over one week.
TikTok Z and Cool Running VDV Z Share Four-Year-Old Style and Jumping Championship at USHJA Young Jumper Championships
The second day of the USHJA Young Jumper Championships, hosted during the Traverse City Tournament of Champions, saw the final day of the Four-Year-Old Style and Jumping Championships, as well as the continuation of the other age group classes for the 5, 6, 7, and 8 year old horses. The day proved to be another positive experience for the young horses and their riders, providing an opportunity for owners and breeders to showcase the up-and-coming talent that is taking hold in North American equestrian sport.
Kelsey Epperson and Debonair Claim Green Hunter 3’ Championship
Hunter competition resumed Thursday, September 9, at the Flintfields Horse Park, brining top riders and their mounts to the Polk Family Hunter Ring for the culmination of the Green Hunter 3’ and Green Hunter 3’3” divisions, as well as the USHA Green Hunter Incentive 3’-3’3”. In the Green Hunter 3’ division, it was Kelsey Epperson and Debra Gross’ Debonair who topped the competitive field, while Tiffany Morrissey and East Wind Farms LLC’s Phanomen V bested the Green Hunter 3’3” division.
