Lexington, Ky. – Nov. 10, 2021 – The 138th Annual National Horse Show (NHS) took place at the famous Alltech Arena at the Kentucky Horse Park, bringing together some of the top international and national show jumping athletes. As one of the nation’s most prestigious and historic indoor horse shows, the NHS is a must-attend event for all national and international athletes. Culminating on the final weekend of the horse show, the highly anticipated $213,300 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ CSI4*-W took place Saturday, November 6, showcasing some of the world’s top show jumping athletes. M. Michael Meller of MMM Horseman and QBS Equestrian are proud to support the famed horse show through the M. Michael Meller Style Award. Held at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY, this year’s style award was presented to one of the country’s leading athletes, Hunter Holloway.
The M. Michael Meller Style of Riding Award is presented each year to the international athlete who displays an exemplary style of riding as well as sportsmanlike conduct in and out of the ring in the FEI Jumping Division – someone who exemplifies what it means to be a true role model for our industry. Holloway was honored with the award by Lenore Phillips of Phelps Media Group on behalf of Meller ahead of the $213,300 Longines FEI Jumping World Cup™ Lexington CSI4*-W.
“It is such an honor, and I have seen this award go to so many amazing riders. To be recognized and to receive this award is so special; it is really an honor,” expressed Holloway. “ I just try to be a good person. I do what I think is best for everyone around me and my horses. I try to treat everyone equally and make an effort to be friendly. I believe in treating people the way you want to be treated. Pepita Con Spita is definitely my leading horse right now. I have a couple of others that are very exciting. By mid-year next year, you will see a couple of new ones in the ring who will be quite special.”
