Jessica Mendoza and Dublin Top $37,000 Devon Speed Derby CSI4* for Second Devon Blue of the Week
Devon, Pa. – June 3, 2022 – International show jumping competition at the 2022 Devon Horse Show picked back up Friday evening with the $37,000 Devon Speed Derby CSI4*. A decorated field of 21 athletes and their competitive mounts took to the Dixon Oval to vie for top honors in the single-round, faults converted speed competition. By the conclusion of the class, it was Great Britain’s Jessica Mendoza and Dublin who emerged victorious.
Martha Ingram and Irene Neuwirth Lead Amateur-Owner Hunter Divisions at Devon Horse Show
Amateur-owner hunter competitors had their moment to shine in the Dixon Oval at the 2022 Devon Horse Show for their chance at claiming a tricolor in their respective divisions. At the conclusion of two rounds of jumping and an under saddle, it was Martha Ingram and Quimby who claimed the leading position in the Amateur-Owner Hunter 18-35 division. Irene Neuwirth and Juan Carlos currently lead the Amateur-Owner Over 35 section with the most points accumulated in the division so far.
Harvey Waller Earns Devon Four-In-Hand Coaching Championship
Following the action in the $37,000 Devon Speed Derby CSI4*, the Dixon Ocal shifted focus to the Four-In-Hand Coaching championship, comprised of four classes held throughout the week. It was Harvey Waller who ended the evening with the most points accumulated to ride away with the championship title and The Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Bright Perpetual Trophy donated by The Officers and members of the 1972 Devon Horse Show Committee, as well as the Championship Apron sponsored by Misdee Wrigley Miller.
