Jimmy Torano and Scott Stewart Share First Championship Honors at 2021 Upperville Colt & Horse Show
Upperville, Va. – June 7, 2021 – The 2021 Upperville Colt & Horse Show (UCHS) welcomed its 168th edition of elite hunter and jumper competition Monday, where the Performance Hunter divisions were highlighted in the Parker Hunter Ring. At the conclusion of the first day, it was Jimmy Torano and Scott Stewart who tied for champion in the Performance 3’6” Hunters aboard Isalou Inc.’s Laskano and Dr. Betsee Parker’s For Always, respectively, receiving the Allen Smith Perpetual Trophy, donated by Mr. Bob Bell.
Talented Thoroughbreds and Young Stars Take Center Stage on Opening Day of Upperville Colt & Horse Show
Upperville, Va. – June 7, 2021 – Jumper action at the Upperville Colt & Horse Show (UCHS) was highlighted Monday, June 7, by the TAKE2 Thoroughbred Jumper class, where 17-year-old Alyssa Paulette of Beaverdam, Virginia, captured the victory aboard When In Rome, an 8-year-old Thoroughbred gelding, in the HorseFlight Jumper Ring II. The pair cleared the first round and advanced to the jump-off to produce the only double clear effort in 38.44 seconds.
