Jordan Coyle and Ariso Jump to Victory in the $230,000 Adequan® Major League Show Jumping Grand Prix CSI5*, Presented by Essence Art Gallery
Thermal, Calif. – Dec. 11, 2021 – CSI5* show jumping came to a thrilling culmination on Saturday night with the $230,000 Adequan® Major League Show Jumping Grand Prix CSI5*, presented by Essence Art Gallery. Riders set out under the lights of the Grand Prix Arena at Desert International Horse Park to not only claim the top spot in the class and take the lion’s share of the prize money, but also to vie for the coveted leading rider title for the inaugural year of Major League Show Jumping. Winning the class on Saturday evening was Ireland’s Jordan Coyle with Ariso, and topping the season-long standings after top performances in various locations across North America was fellow Irishman Paul O’Shea.
Gable Gering and H De Revel Dominate the ASPCA Maclay Medal at Desert Holiday II
Thermal, Calif. – Dec. 11, 2021 – Equitation riders took to the Grand Eq/Jumper 3 Arena on Saturday morning to vie for top honors in the coveted ASPCA Maclay Medal. Some of the country’s top equitation riders took their turn over the nine-obstacle course set by Nick Granat, hoping for a top placing amongst the 17 brilliant junior athletes. The top 13 horse and rider combinations were invited back for a flat test where the judges asked the riders to remove their stirrups from their saddles before entering the ring. Next, they were tested on their flatwork abilities and, in the end, Gable Gering and her new mount, H De Revel, came out on top to take home the victory. Audrey Carmody and Colany 9 took home the red ribbon, while Jake Endicott and Class Act were awarded third place.
