KAKI Apparel is a unique line of children’s equestrian apparel designed by a young rider who saw a need for classic yet stylish clothes that were affordable and easy to care for.
Kathryn Hall began riding competitively at the age of eight and loved everything about the sport, including the classic wardrobe associated with the equestrian lifestyle. As she continued to grow and compete however, Hall became aware that the selection of riding apparel available for children was very limited. With the support of her family, Kathryn decided to change that and founded KAKI Apparel.
The goal of KAKI Apparel is to bring to the marketplace a classic look with modern twists, state-of-the-art fabrics and excellent craftsmanship. Some of the features that make KAKI apparel unique are its durability and ease-of-care. Many items are machine washable as well as its attention to detail, styling and affordable price point allowing all child riders to be stylishly turned out for schooling or show.
KAKI Apparel has earned praise for its design at the top levels of the sport. Richard Slocum, a noted trainer and USEF R rated judge commented, “I’m a classicist so I love the look of the satin shawl collar and lining of the shadbelly. The fit of the jumper jacket is just beautiful.”
In addition to her busy schedule of competing and designing for KAKI Apparel, Hall also finds time to give back. In 2014 she started the Refashion Ribbons program to collect gently used show ribbons which are then redistributed to to Accredited PATH International (www.pathintl.org) therapeutic equestrian centers benefiting children and adults with neurological disorders, amputees and Wounded Warriors. To date Refashion Ribbons has collected over 2000 ribbons.
KAKI Apparel will be in booth #147 at the American Equestrian Trade Association August 13-15, in Oaks Pennsylvania.
KAKI Apparel will also be at Pony Final this year August 9-14, at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky in the Sofie Boutique.
