Karl Cook and Caillou 24 Capture $137,000 Meijer Grand Prix CSI3* Win at Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, Presented by CaptiveOne Advisors
Traverse City, Mich. – July 11, 2021 – The conclusion to Week I of the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, highlighted the $137,000 Meijer Grand Prix CSI3* Sunday afternoon. Each of the 39 international horse-and-athlete combinations were eager to close out the first week of the summer series with a bang and be at the forefront of the victory gallop. In the end, it was the United States’ Karl Cook who bested a seven-horse jump-off to claim the top honors aboard Signe Ostby’s Caillou 24.

On the final day of exciting hunter competition during Week I of the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, top riders returned with their mounts to the Polk Family Hunter Ring to close out the week. The featured hunter class, the $5,000 USHJA Traverse City Derby, presented by Perfect Products, kicked off bright and early, seeing a field of 36 talented combinations tackle the derby course. At the conclusion of the class’ competitive two rounds, it was Hillary Johnson aboard Suede who rode away with the top prize.
