Kentucky Horse Shows Acknowledges Generous Sponsors of Spring Horse Shows

Lexington, Ky. – April 5, 2017 – The premier horse show management company, Kentucky Horse Shows LLC, is proud to recognize sponsors of the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows CSI3* series. Dates for the spring series include the Kentucky Spring Horse Show on May 10-14, and the Kentucky Spring Classic held May 17-21 at the Kentucky Horse Park, host of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™. Hagyard Equine Medical Institute is one of the oldest and largest equine veterinary practices in the world. Founded in 1876, the institute offers a staff with qualifications unparalleled by any single non-university veterinary group in the equine industry. Hagyard veterinarians have dedicated themselves to the health and well being of the horse. Once again, the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute will be sponsoring the seven part Hagyard Challenge series, which concludes with the presentation of the Hagyard Leading Rider Bonus. They will also sponsor the $35,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic CSI3* held on Thursday during the first two weeks of competition.

Hollow Creek Farm will be returning to the Kentucky Spring Horse Show as a sponsor for the $130,000 Hollow Creek Farm CSI3* Grand Prix to be held on Saturday, May 13, in the Rolex Stadium at 6:30 p.m.

Hollow Creek Farm is a world-class show jumping facility that is home to Emanuel Andrade of Venezuela. Andrade has successfully represented his country at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ in Normandy, France, as well as at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada, where he was involved in a jump-off for the individual bronze medal. He is a long-time supporter of equestrian sport at the Kentucky Horse Park.

Furthermore, CWD will be coming back as a sponsor for the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series in 2017. CWD is the number one French performance saddle and is partnered with the world’s top riders such as McLain Ward, Scott Brash and Kent Farrington. CWD combines new technologies with cutting edge materials to create high quality saddles such as the new 2Gs saddle – a product of ingeniously modified DNA that pushes the limits of performance. CWD will be onsite at the Kentucky Horse Park throughout the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series to assist riders in finding their perfect saddle.

Ohio’s World Equestrian Center (WEC) partners with the Kentucky Horse Shows as the presenting sponsor of the WEC/Kentucky Horse Shows USHJA National Hunter Derbies 11 USHJA National Hunter Derby events held at the Kentucky Horse Park and the World Equestrian Center. Each of these events is open to all horses and riders.

Driven by a passion for horses and a commitment to supporting equestrian sports in the United States, the World Equestrian Center aims to return horse showing to its former grandeur while incorporating an element of fun reminiscent of the horse shows of the past. Located in Ohio’s ‘Golden Triangle’ the venue is less than one hour from Cincinnati, Columbus and Dayton airports and now with an exciting new venue planned for 2018 in Ocala, Florida.

Audi of Lexington will be returning as the presenting sponsor for featured national classes, the $40,000 Commonwealth Grand Prix during the Kentucky Spring Horse Show and the $40,000 Bluegrass Grand Prix during the Kentucky Spring Classic. The company will also continue its generous support of the $10,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame (SJHOF) Amateur-Owner Jumper High Classic during both weeks of competition.

Johnson Horse Transportation is also a returning sponsor for 2017, supporting the $10,000 SJHOF Junior Jumper High Classic during both weeks of competition.

Johnson Horse Transportation is an equestrian shipping company that provides timely and safe transportation for show horses. DJ Johnson, owner of Johnson Horse Transportation, said, “As always, I think the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows series is obviously a great horse show just by looking at their turnout. Kentucky Horse Shows is also excited to announce the return of the Grand Hunter Program for 2017, sponsored by Visse Wedell of Wedell Real Estate. Wedell strongly believes in recognizing the accomplishments of horses and riders, which is why she will offer grand champion prizes in Professional Hunter, Junior Hunter, Amateur-Owner Hunter, Children’s Hunter, Adult Hunter and Pony Hunter divisions.
