Kyle King Captures Top Two Spots in $10,000 Interactive Mortgage 10 & Under Futurity Series 1.35m
Thermal, Calif. – Jan. 23, 2022 – The Grand Prix Arena played host to the final jumper class of Desert Circuit I, the $10,000 Interactive Mortgage 10 & Under Futurity Series 1.35m. Open to all horses aged 10 and under, the coveted class offers incredible prize money in an effort to identify the top young talent in the jumper ring. The series debuted in November of 2021 and will feature a class every week of Desert Circuit. With 24 entries, including top athletes piloting their up-and-coming mounts, the class was competitive, but in the end it was Kyle King who scored the win with Ittolo and second place with Gipsy De L’epinette.
Leila Palestrant and Elevation Ride to Win Child/Adult Hunt & Go Derby 2’6”-2’9” to Conclude Desert Circuit I
Thermal, Calif. – Jan. 23, 2022 – The final hunter highlight event of Desert Circuit I, the Child/Adult Hunt & Go Derby 2’6”-2’9”, sponsored by G2 Insurance, took place on Sunday in Hunter 4. Thirty entries came forward to contest the single-round class, but ultimately it was Leila Palestrant and Elevation who emerged victorious on a total score of 171. Second place in the class went to Megan Sweeney and Lina Gruber’s Lemba Z, while Natalie Rae Medlock and Bourbon rounded out the top three.
