Over the course of the winter 2019 season, The Patio At Polo served as an event space, weekly weekend spot to watch the Winter Equestrian Festival grand prix, and dinner venue for the local community comprised of year-long residents, tourists and winter visitors. Offering global share plates focused on seasonal ingredients that are sourced locally, the menu includes local favorites such as the garlic butter lobster with charred corn and squid ink pasta, the strip steak with thyme butter, caramelized shallots and parsnip puree, and the roasted duck fat baby potatoes with tarragon, among other cuisine, that kept diners returning week after week to savor their most-liked food and expand their palettes with new dishes.
“I love changing the menu each year to accommodate our diners’ favorites while also experimenting with unique flavors to expand our offerings and introduce the community to new tastes,” commented Chef Mat Allen, the head chef and co-owner at The Patio At Polo. “This year our menu, space and wine offerings have grown even more, and we have had so much fun interacting with our nightly visitors and providing them with a go-to spot to recharge and enjoy during the busy winter season. We love that our space can serve as a short refuge from the daily hustle outside of our walls.”
