Wellington, Fl. – Feb. 3, 2017 – With the fast-moving equestrian winter season well on its way, Brooke USA is proud to present an unparalleled series of events to take place in the upcoming months. Ranging from educational lunch sessions, to highly-anticipated social get togethers with equestrian entertainment, there is an opportunity for everyone to support the global good works of Brooke, the world’s largest international equine welfare charity.
The first Brooke USA awareness-raising event of the season will take place Friday, February 3, during the Wellington Eventing Showcase Rider Course Walk presented by Brooke USA during the long-anticipated $100,000 Land Rover Wellington Eventing Showcase. Ambassador Boyd Martin, along with eventing greats William Fox-Pitt and Mark Todd, will walk the course while providing commentary of the obstacles the riders will face the following day. The course walk will begin promptly at the conclusion of dressage. On Saturday, February 4, the Eventing Showcase will not only open with show jumping, but also feature a unique photo exhibit by Enrique Urdaneta-Alamo in the VIP and West Tents, portraying the compelling story of Nic Roldan’s Immersion Trip to Guatemala last September and the invaluable work Brooke does for working equines and the families that depend on them in Latin America. Beginning at 11:30 a.m. in the Hospitality Tent overlooking The Stadium, Brooke USA Ambassador Boyd Martin will be joined by Allison Springer to sign autographs and discuss their involvement in the equine organization. Brooke USA’s signature miniature horses will make an appearance during the Eventing Showcase on Saturday, and will be available for photographs. Brooke USA’s winter event series, as well as their yearlong fundraising efforts, are set out to raise awareness and support for the four-legged, economic backbones of nine percent of the world’s population. We hope to see you there in support of Brooke USA and its year-long Horse Heroes campaign honoring the equines who served during World War I, as there is no better way to honor yesterday’s war horses and mules than by helping today’s hardworking equines and the people who depend on them. Brooke USA is aiming to raise $1 million in remembrance of the one million fallen war horses. To learn more about the Horse Heroes campaign, visit www.HorseHeroes.org.
