MEDIA ALERT: Credential Applications Now Open for 2022 Devon Horse Show and Country Fair

Devon, Pa. – March 24, 2022 – The organizers of the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair are pleased to announce that they are officially accepting applications for media credentials for the highly anticipated 2022 event. The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair will feature top competition, special events, exhibitions, shopping, and more. The event is set to take place from May 26 to June 5, continuing its historic legacy.

Any members of the media wishing to cover this premier equestrian event must apply and be approved for credentials beforehand. The deadline to submit an application for media credentials is May 16.

The application process for media credentials is simple. Visit the web address through the button above and fill out the form for the Devon Horse Show. Once the form is complete, click submit and you will be notified as to whether your application is accepted or denied.

All event information can be found here. The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair will do its best to accommodate requests and is thankful to members of the media for their interest in covering this year’s awaited, top-notch event.

As always, the 2022 Devon Horse Show will feature Show Jumping, Equitation, Hunters, Eventing, Saddlebred, Hackney, Breeding and Coaching divisions for all to enjoy. As a highlight, the Devon Open Jumper Section will feature expanded prizes and awards. The division will invite 30 elite Open Jumper athletes to compete in classes such as the $37,000 Main Line Challenge, the $37,000 Devon International Speed Stake, the $50,000 Jet Run Devon Welcome Stake and the $74,000 Idle Dice Open Jumper Stake. The Sapphire Grand Prix of Devon will be the main event, offering $250,000 in prize money. With a FEI CSI4* ranking, athletes competing in any of these events will be eligible to acquire world ranking points.

In addition, the Devon Horse Show is widely recognized for its world-class hunter competition and will once again be hosting a variety of hunter divisions with a US Equestrian (USEF) Premier hunter rating. The country’s top hunter riders will compete for the coveted title in the popular $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby, sponsored by the Wheeler family, on Thursday, June 2.

The Devon Horse Show will also welcome back the $50,000 Devon Arena Eventing class, featuring a blend of cross-country and stadium jumps that will be open to 30 of the nation’s top athletes.

The Devon Horse Show will not be allowing Private Client Photography during the 2022 competition. The official photographer for hunters, jumper and equitation, Kind Media, will be shooting in both the Dixon Oval and Wheeler Ring and proofs will be available at www.kindmediallc.comDoug Shiflet will be the official photographer for Saddlebreds & Hackneys, and Daria Killinger will be the official photographer for Carriages, Coaches & Carriage Pleasure Driving. Anyone found to be taking photos for profit during the competition will be immediately escorted from the event and unable to return. The Devon Horse Show appreciates everyone’s compliance during the 2022 competition.

Tables will be available for purchase in the Devon Club for Junior Weekend. Friday, May 27 and Saturday, May 28, guests can purchase a table to enjoy the outstanding views and fine hospitality while watching the action in the Dixon Oval and Wheeler Ring. High-top tables seat four people and are priced at $800 a day, while a table of six is available for $1,200 a day. Show jumping enthusiasts can also purchase a table for the evening of Thursday, June 2, from 6:30 p.m. to close, for the thrilling $250,000 Sapphire Grand Prix of Devon CSI4*, which is set to start at 8 p.m. The evening will include access to a delicious buffet , a top-shelf open bar and complimentary admission to the show for the evening.
