Planet RV and NFL Great Dan Marino Send Stocked Campers to the Bahamas

Davie, Fla. – Sept. 24, 2019 – Gigi Stetler, owner and founder of Planet RV, has teamed up once again with RV Advisor ambassador Dan Marino, to positively impact the community. This time, Stetler and Marino, a nine-time Pro Bowler and former NFL MVP, joined forces to send necessary resources to the islands in the Bahamas that have just recently been impacted by the catastrophic Category 5 Hurricane Dorian. The storm left the islands of Abaco and Grand Bahama without life-sustaining resources, one being sufficient housing.

Responding to the need for living quarters and other supplies that have been difficult to transport to the islands, Stetler and Marino sent ten fully stocked campers to the Bahamas.

“People need housing there,” said Marino. “You get the food, you get the canned goods, all that other stuff but they also need a place to stay, especially the workers and people who are going to help rebuild.”
Using his influence in the public eye to garner support for relief efforts, Marino has made tremendous charitable efforts for the Bahamas as an RV Advisor ambassador. RV Advisor, a membership-based advisory platform that Stetler launched in 2018, donates $5 of every membership purchase to the purchase of supplies as well as additional trailers.
Marino and Stetler were brought together on Miami’s charity circuit, both being motivated to do what they could to give back to their community and neighbors. Stetler, who also helped provide shelter to those impacted by Hurricane Katrina in 2005, stocked the campers sent to the islands with emergency supplies.
“It’s really our duty to help our brothers and sisters whenever we can,” Stetler said. “This was a horrible disaster less than 100 miles from us here in South Florida. It easily could have been us who took the brunt of this storm.”
