Pony Lane Farm Offers Two Top-Quality Young Prospects

Bluffdale, Utah – May 3, 2018 – Respected sporthorse breeding and performance operation Pony Lane Farm is thrilled to welcome five newborn foals this season, with two of the promising progeny now available to be relocated to new homes. Known for its reputation for excellence, the Thatcher family’s farm is a standout producer of hunter/jumper offspring in the United States, and this year’s crop of colt and fillies adds to their repertoire. Scout, born January 2018 by Standing Ovation out of Amber, and barnmate Swarovski, born just two months later in March 2018 by Standing Ovation out of Jewel, are both young colts now available from Pony Lane Farm.

One of the three high-quality performance stallions located at Pony Lane Farm, Standing Ovation is a 2007 Warmblood stallion by Last Man Standing out of Caletta. He has had success at the Winter Equestrian Festival in the Amateur-Owner divisions with consistent top ten placings, as well as in the elite High Performance and Conformation divisions. In 2017, Standing Ovation carried renowned hunter rider Maggie Jayne to the title of champion in the prestigious $25,000 USHJA International Hunter Derby at the Devon Horse Show.

Purchased as a 5-year-old by Pony Lane Farm, Amber (Carell X Chari Vari) is a bay 2010 Westphalian mare. In 2015, the farm bred her to Chaqui Z, the superb Spy Coast Farm stallion and one of the most successful sons of the famous Chacco Blue, and later to Standing Ovation in 2017. Both foals already show great movement and athleticism at young ages, and look to be contenders in the hunter/jumper rings in the future.

Jewel is a grey 2007 mare with an impressive track record in the Pre-Green Hunters and First Year Green Hunters, in addition to the Amateur-Owner Hunters at both the 3’3″ and 3’6″ heights. Boasting accolades from horse shows venues across the country including Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, Aiken Horse Park, Tryon International Equestrian Center, Kentucky Horse Park, Balmoral Park, Georgia International Horse Park and many more, Jewel carried riders Kelsey Thatcher, Maddy Thatcher and Haylie Jayne-Rolfe to numerous championships as well as class and classic wins.
