Prize List Now Available for 2021 Kentucky Summer Horse Show and Kentucky Summer Classic

Lexington, KY – May 24, 2021 – Following a thrilling two weeks of competition during the 2021 Kentucky Spring Series, Kentucky Horse Shows LLC, is excited to share the official prize list for the 2021 Kentucky Summer Horse Show and Kentucky Summer Classic which will be held at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park July 28-August 1 and August 3-8 respectively.

The first week of competition, the Kentucky Summer Horse Show features highlights such as the $25,000 Kentucky Summer Classic on Thursday, July 29, the $50,000 Rood & Riddle Grand Prix which will take place on Saturday, July 31, a $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby on Sunday, August 1. In addition to these exciting classes throughout the week, Kentucky Horse Shows is excited to share that the Kentucky Summer Horse Show is designated as a World Championship Hunter Rider event where riders can earn points towards year-end WCHR awards.

Competition at the Kentucky Horse Park will continue the following week with the Kentucky Summer Classic which offers ample competition opportunities for both hunter and jumper competitors. Highlight classes throughout the week include the $25,000 Kentucky Summer Classic held on Thursday, August 5, the $50,000 Hagyard Grand Prix which will take place on Saturday, August 7, and the $5,000 USHJA National Hunter Derby which closes out top hunter competition on Sunday, August 8.

Parking: Horse show exhibitors may purchase a weekly parking pass at the main horse park entrance for $15. Dogs are permitted at the Kentucky Horse Park on a leash.

Directions: The Kentucky Horse Park is located eight miles Northeast of Lexington, Kentucky, at Exit 120 on Interstate 75.

Shopping: Vendors offering equestrian equipment, apparel, jewelry and home furnishings are located adjacent to the Stonelea Ring.

Campground reservations: Reservations may not be made through the horse show office. To reserve a campsite at the Kentucky Horse Park for any of the horse shows, please call the Campground Store at 800-370-6416 or 859-259-4157, or e-mail Ryan McGaughey at Be specific as to the show name and the dates you wish to stay. Check-in time is 2 p.m. and checkout is noon. You must make arrangements with the Campground Store if you plan to arrive earlier than 2 p.m. or stay later than noon. Vehicles that are not removed from a campsite by checkout time will be towed.
