Professional Polo Player Brandon Phillips Joins BEMER’s Roster of Elite Athlete Ambassadors

Wellington, Fla. – June 10, 2020 – Brandon Phillips has had an unarguably successful career as a professional polo player, and while his successes throughout his career have been a major highlight, Phillips has shared on multiple occasions that he is in the sport for one reason: his love of the horses. BEMER shares Phillips’ passion for horses and horse sport and is proud to welcome the professional polo player and Polo For Life founder to the BEMER family as an official Equine Ambassador.

To enhance healing, recovery and injury prevention for all horses, the BEMER Horse-Set is an innovative therapy blanket that utilizes pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) technology, delivering the patented BEMER Signal into the horse’s body. It is the same BEMER signal in products specially designed to optimize muscular health and performance by increasing circulation, a benefit for athletes of every level.

“I am very excited about my new partnership with BEMER,” shared Phillips. “It was a new product for me, but after using it on several of my horses for the last month, I have learned a lot and have seen the rapid improvement of my horses. There has been a big improvement in how they are feeling and performing.”

Brandon Phillips played his first polo match at 11 years old, and made the leap to professional status in 1995 at just 17 years old. He continues to play at the top levels with a resume that boasts many victories, such as the USPA Silver Cup, The Gold Cup of Americas, CV Whitney Cup, East Coast Open and Pacific Coast Open to name a few. In addition to these accomplishments, Phillips has played in several US Opens reaching the finals and semi-finals and is currently a member of the Postage Stamp Farm Polo Team.

While his life has not been short of success in the polo field, one of his greatest triumphs is battling and beating stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma at the age of 14. Given only six weeks to live, Phillips’ unwavering grit allowed him to conquer his diagnosis and utilize his love of horses to aid him through his recovery. It was this life experience that would lead Phillips to found Polo for Life, a non-profit organization that raises funds for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

“When we look for ambassadors, we look for individuals who love our product and embody what BEMER is all about: promoting health and healing so that athletes, both horse and rider, can do what they love to best of their ability,” commented Brad Horn, Head of Marketing for BEMER Group North America. “Brandon’s story directly aligns with our mission, and we are beyond thrilled to have him on board. Polo is such a unique and high-performance sport. We are excited to be able to support Brandon and his string of horses in their future endeavors by providing preventative care and quicker recovery with our BEMER products.”
