Roberto Teran Tafur and Gabrovo Set the Pace To Win $5,000 1.45m Open Jumper at Kentucky Spring Horse Show

Lexington, Ky. – May 13, 2022 – Show jumping athletes took to the Rolex Stadium as the sun rose Friday morning to set the pace for the weekend at the Kentucky Spring Horse Show. Twenty-four horse-and-rider combinations tried their hand at the $5,000 Open Jumper 1.45m track to race against the clock for the win. In the end it was Roberto Teran Tafur and Gabrovo to top the leaderboard. Sloane Coles and Ninja JW Van De Moerhoeve took second, while Nicki Wilcox aboard Hannibal V rounded out the podium.

Guidry, Sweetnam and Herzog Post Equitation Wins at Kentucky Spring Horse Show

Concluding competition in the StoneLea Arena Friday at the Kentucky Spring Horse Show were the key equitation classes, featuring top young athletes to test several different tracks and put forth their best efforts. Kevin Holowack designed courses for the ASPCA Maclay Medal, the Hamel Foundation NHS 3’3” Medal and the USHJA 3’3” Hunter Seat Medal as equitation riders set forth to impress the judges and take home the win in each of the prestigious classes. Winners of the day included Hailey Guidry, Olivia Sweetnam and Lilly Herzog.
