Wellington, Fla. – May 22, 2018 – The Devon Horse Show is notorious for being the place “Where Champions Meet,” and this year Little Brook Farm’s Savonna Adell earned herself a spot competing at the iconic venue with four different mounts. Adell is excited to travel from her native Michigan to idyllic Devon, Pennsylvania to compete at the Devon Horse Show, which is internationally recognized as one of the premier equestrian events in the country. This year’s show will run from Thursday, May 24 to Sunday, June 3, 2018.
“I am so excited to compete at Devon this year,” expressed Adell. “It is such a special venue with so much history, so riding my ponies and horse there is going to be so fun! There is also a fair at the Devon Horse Show, so I am looking forward to showing while also having a great time with my friends.”
After diligently training and competing throughout the year under the tutelage of Little Brook Farm trainers Gary, Donna and Kelsey Duffy, Adell qualified Sportin’ Around and Laugh Out Loud for the Medium Pony Hunter division.
Adell also qualified for the Large Pony Hunters with Spellbound after just moving up to the Large Pony Hunter division together in April. The accomplished pair also claimed the circuit champion title for the division in the ESP Spring Series in Wellington, Florida.
Continuing to demonstrate her winning ways and ability to ride both ponies and horses, Adell qualified for the highly-competitive Small Junior Hunter 15 & Under division at the Devon Horse Show aboard Redeemed. She is hoping to have consistent and solid performances in the famed Dixon Oval with the 13-year-old Holsteiner mare.
“Savonna worked very hard this year and it’s wonderful to see that pay off by qualifying for Devon,” said trainer Gary Duffy. “It is such an iconic event and only the best-of-the-best have the opportunity to show at Devon. For Savonna to have that many on the list is really incredible and we are really looking forward to this week!”
After honing her skills in the saddle this winter at the Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) and the ESP Spring Series, Adell is feeling confident going into Devon. The 12-year-old junior athlete will showcase her talents during Devon Junior Weekend, which will take place from Thursday, May 24 to Sunday, May 27 and she is eager to show at the prestigious event known for top-notch competition, a rich history, and deeply-rooted traditions.
