Shane Sweetnam and Ideal Top $36,600 Keyser Welcome Stake CSI3* at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors
Traverse City, Mich. – June 9, 2021 – International show jumping competition continued Friday afternoon during Week 1 of the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), presented by CaptiveOne Advisors, with the $36,600 Keyser Welcome Stake CSI3*. Shane Sweetnam was the path finder in the Turtle Creek Casino & Hotel International Ring during the first round, setting the pace for the remainder of the class’ remaining 61 horse-and-rider combinations. At the conclusion of a competitive jump-off, it was Sweetnam aboard Sweet Oak Farm’s Ideal who blazed to the top of the leaderboard and remained unbeatable to take home the top prize.
Charlotte Clivio Claims Hamel Foundation NHS 3’3” Medal Honors at Great Lakes Equestrian Festival, presented by CaptiveOne Advisors
Equitation riders took to the Polk Family Hunter Ring Friday afternoon to vie for top honors in the Hamel Foundation NHS 3’3” Medal during the first week of the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival (GLEF), presented by CaptiveOne Advisors. A field of top up-and-coming equitation riders tested their abilities and displayed their textbook style over the 10-obstacle Hamel Foundation NHS 3’3” Medal course in hopes of capturing the win. In the end, it was Charlotte Clivio from Miami, Florida who emerged victorious with the first place ribbon.
