Shane Sweetnam and Indra Van de Oude Heihoef Have Need for Speed in $37,000 1.45m Welcome Speed CSI3* at Kentucky Spring Horse Show
Lexington, KY – May 12, 2021 – The 2021 edition of the Kentucky Horse Shows series kicked off Wednesday, May 12, with the Kentucky Spring Horse Show. Show jumping athletes from around the globe took to the Rolex Arena for the first week of the event’s spring series. A total of 44 hopeful contenders raced against the clock for their shot at the winner’s circle in the $37,000 1.45.m Welcome Speed CSI3* Wednesday afternoon. In the end, it was Ireland’s Shane Sweetnam who emerged victorious aboard his trusted speed mount Indra Van de Oude Heihoef, owned by the Blue Buckle Group.
Scott Stewart and Nottingham Earn Top Honors in Green Hunter Incentive Stake at Kentucky Spring Horse Show
Scott Stewart took to hunter competition with a strong start to the Kentucky Spring Horse Show, riding to first place honors in the highly competitive Green Hunter Incentive Stake aboard Dr. Betsee Parker’s Nottingham. The windy, cool weather proved to be a challenge for many, but the nine-year-old Oldenburg gelding stepped up to the plate and made a splash with his impressive round to earn a score of 88, which helped them to secure top honors.
