Support Australian Bushfire Efforts By Watching Free Celebrity Eventing Clinic on Horse & Country

Warwick, U.K. – Jan. 25, 2019 – As Australia continues to be ravaged by wildfires, the equestrian community around the world is pulling together to raise funds for fellow horsemen and women impacted by the devastation. Horse & Country (H&C) is honored to provide a free livestream of the Eventing Rider Association’s (ERA) Australia Day to raise awareness and support of the Equestrian Fire Relief Australia, BlazeAid and Buy A Bale charities. The educational event, which will take place Sunday, Jan. 26, at 12:30 p.m. EST, will feature lectures and demonstrations with a host of top eventing Olympians and Burghley Champions, plus an online auction and raffle.

Though the tickets for the philanthropic event, hosted at the the Lowlands RDA Equestrian Centre in Warwick, Warwickshire, sold out within 48 hours, H&C’s free livestream will allow the 3-hour special to be viewed from around the world to encourage more donations to the important cause.

Celebrity eventing riders signed up for Australia Day include Piggy March (née French), Sam Griffiths, Chris Burton, Bill Levett, Tim Price, Paul Tapner and Alex Bragg. Each upper-level event rider will be given a 30-minute time slot to showcase their favorite training exercises in their own unique style. Some will ride themselves, some will train one of their own students, and others will feature other celebrity guest riders as their demo riders. Well-known equestrian sports broadcaster Nicole Brown will be hosting the event and the EquiRating team will add fun facts to the sessions. There will also be entertaining activities throughout such as the Aussies vs Rest of the World challenge.
For those who can not be there to witness the exciting educational symposium in person, H&C has made it possible to support the cause from anywhere in the world by live streaming via H&C’s website and mobile apps on Jan. 26. Donations raised from the event will be split between the Equestrian Fire Relief Australia, BlazeAid and Buy A Bale. An on-demand video of the evening will be made available following the event on H&C.

“Many of us have been deeply impacted by the devastating bushfires in Australia and wish to support the Australian Equestrian Community however fit,” said Heather Killen, CEO and Chairman of H&C. “We are incredibly proud to be a part of this initiative by live streaming the Australia Day Fundraising Event for Fire Affected Australian Equestrians at Lowlands RDA Equestrian Centre for free across the world.”
