Devon, Pa. – May 25, 2019 – After two rounds of competition, the nation’s top junior riders returned to the Dixon Oval on Saturday evening to go head-to-head in the final round of the 2019 Junior Jumper championship, sponsored by Lugano Diamonds, at the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair. Following his win in Friday’s $3,750 Junior Jumper class, sponsored by Land Services USA, Inc., Tanner Korotkin and Sandalwood Farms’ Armagedon won Saturday’s $20,000 Show Jumping Hall of Fame Junior Jumper Classic to secure the overall championship title, while Paige Matthies and Caelinn Leahy tied for reserve honors.
Evermore Named 2019 Devon Grand Junior Hunter Champion with Mimi Gochman
The Devon Grand Junior Hunter Champion title was awarded on day three of the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair. Battling it out between the Large and Small Junior Hunter divisions, horse-and-rider combinations sought to accumulate the most points over two days of competition to win the prestigious “Ovation” Perpetual Trophy. After dominating the Small Junior 15 and Under Hunter division and earning 30 points to claim the John J. Moran Memorial Perpetual Trophy, it was Mimi Gochman and Evermore who walked away with the coveted title.
Benjamin Buttons and Taylor Cawley Earn Devon Grand Pony Hunter Championship Title
Day three of the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair continued with the naming of the Devon Grand Pony Hunter champion and recipient of the Wizard of Oz Perpetual Trophy in the Wheeler Ring. The award is given annually to the pony who accumulates the most points across the Small, Medium and Large Pony Hunter divisions. This year, the prestigious title was awarded to Benjamin Buttons, ridden by Taylor Cawley.
