Wellington, FL – April 12, 2022 – The entire Victoria Colvin, LLC team had a banner 2022 Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF) season. Just a few months into Victoria Colvin’s business expansion and exciting new phase in her professional career, the horses she trained saw success in both the hunter and jumper divisions, and her group of talented students took top placings in all three rings.
Colvin and her students held many accomplishments throughout the 12 weeks of WEF. With several championships in the hunter ring, both Colvin and her students achieved WEF Circuit Championships and WEF Reserve Circuit Championships, including Colvin being named the Leading Overall Hunter Rider for the third year in a row. She also rode to top finishes in the International Derbies aboard JT Farm’s Gabriel.
Victoria Colvin Leads the Circuit as Overall Hunter Rider
Colvin finished as the leading Overall Hunter Rider of WEF, competing with an impressive 32 horses in the hunter ring. She also earned the Green Hunter 3’ Circuit Champion and Reserve Circuit Champion aboard Lisa Baucom’s Colina and Paula Horton’s So Special, respectively. Karen Bruce’s Mastermind ended the circuit as Green Hunter 3’6” Reserve Circuit Champion, and Parker Peacock’s Affirm earned the division championship all three weeks Colvin showed him in the Green Hunter 3’3” division.
Victoria Colvin’s Young Jumpers Earn Top Accolades Throughout WEF
Both of Colvin’s show jumping mounts competed in the 7-Year-Old Jumper division during the season, Pick Wick Van De Kruishoeve, owned by BMT Partners, and Perlas Pas De Calais, owned in partnership with Karen Bruce. Pick Wick Van De Kruishoeve was consistent all winter, with consistent clear rounds and top placings to end the circuit as champion during WEF XII. Perlas Pas De Calais had two major wins in the division, earning champion during WEF I and reserve champion during both WEF VII and WEF Premiere this circuit.
Students Rise to the Challenge Taking Top Placings All Winter
Peacock had one of her best winters yet, earning Reserve Circuit Champion in the Large Green Pony Hunter division on her young pony Newsflash. Peacock also moved into the Medium Junior Jumper division on her own Carey Grant K with successful rides, and had multiple tricolors in the Small Junior Hunter 15 & Under division on her horse Acclaim. She also earned many championships on catch rides in the Younger Children’s Hunter and Junior Hunter 15 & Under 3’3” divisions. Student Ella Mchardy also saw success during WEF, moving into the 3’6’’ equitation ring this season with great rounds and stellar rides in the hunter rings.Karen Bruce, Patricia Edwards, and Lisa Baucom, Colvin’s talented low adult hunter students, claimed top results and tricolors all circuit!
