Lexington, VA – August 25, 2016 – The Virginia Horse Center (VHC) is thrilled to be welcoming Fairland Ferguson to its historic facility on Saturday, Oct. 8 for an afternoon filled with extraordinary entertainment. Spectators can expect to see an up close demonstration from the Staunton, Va. native and her amazing horses at 12:30 p.m., as well as join an exclusive question and answer session with her.
“Horses have taken me all over the world, performing thousands of shows for tens of thousands of people on almost every continent in the world,” Ferguson shared. “Horses are said to give us the wings we lack to fly, but for me, horses were also my legs when I couldn’t walk, my energy when I had none, my spirit when it was broken and my heart when it was lost.”
Ferguson joined Dolly Parton’s Dixie Stampede while attending college. She worked with the group for six years, before touring with CAVALIA for six years and taking her talents to Australia for an entire year. She’s performed as a trick and Roman rider, jumping and galloping two to six horses at a time.
Tickets are on sale for the exciting show, which is slated to take place in Barn 6 at the VHC. Adult tickets are $15, while tickets for kids 12 and under are $12. Children 2 and under are free.
“Horses have taught me more about myself and my life than I ever thought possible,” Ferguson expressed. “I hope to share this love and understanding with everyone Oct. 8 at the VHC. Whether you’re a young rider, an older cavalier or someone that has never been on a horse. It will be a blast and an event that I’m sure everyone will take something away from.”
