London, U.K. – July 17, 2018 – The highly anticipated CHIO Aachen World Equestrian Festival in Germany is underway and runs through Sunday, July 22, with show jumping competition kicking off on Tuesday, July 17. Horse & Country TV (H&C TV) is pleased to be offering show jumping fans in the U.S. exclusive as-live coverage of the Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup CSIO5* and the Rolex Grand Prix CSI5*, part of the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, on its website.

H&C TV will broadcast the Mercedes-Benz Nations Cup CSIO5* on Tuesday, July 24, at 8 p.m. EST and the Rolex Grand Prix CSI5* on Wednesday, July 25, at 8 p.m. EST. Don’t miss one of the biggest show jumping events of the year! Join H&C TV to watch the coverage from Aachen here.

In addition to the as-live broadcasts, a highlights show recapping the event will also air on Friday, July 27, at 8 p.m. EST.

CHIO Aachen is one of the most prestigious equestrian events in the world and is home to five Nations Cup competitions in show jumping, dressage, eventing, driving and vaulting.

The Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping series is the toughest competition in show jumping — offering one of the biggest prizes in the sport, with a €1 million bonus going to any rider who can consecutively win three grand prix events at Aachen, Spruce Meadows, CHI Geneva and the Dutch Masters. If that same rider then wins a fourth major in succession, they win an additional €1 million bonus prize.

Great Britain’s Scott Brash is the only athlete in history to win the Rolex Grand Slam of Show Jumping, winning at Aachen, Spruce Meadows and at CHI Geneva in 2015.

The current contender is Belgium’s Niels Bruynseels, who won the Rolex Grand Prix CSI5* at the Dutch Masters in March. Bruynseels will be competing in Aachen and hoping for another win with his top mare Gancia de Muze.

However, he faces stiff competition from the world’s very best including Brash and 2017 winner, Gregory Wathelet, who will be back to defend his title.

Other big names to look out for are Marcus Ehning, Laura Kraut, Eric Lamaze, Cian O’Connor, McLain Ward and Ludger Beerbaum, among others.
