Wellington, Fla. – Feb. 6, 2018 – On Saturday, February 17, polo followers and fans will have the special opportunity to witness the world’s best polo players come together for the exciting Lucchese 40-Goal Polo Challenge. Eight of the most famed international polo players will graciously donate their time to play in this not-to-be-missed event, which will benefit the Polo Players Support Group (PPSG). This year’s highly anticipated line-up will feature Airstream against Pilot Catastrophe Services.

Being the only 40-Goal event in North America, the game will be an exciting display of skill, teamwork and action from the most talented polo players the sport has to offer. World No. 1 Adolfo Cambiaso and world No. 2 Facundo Pieres will go head to head as they play for Airstream and Pilot Catastrophe Services, respectively.
The challenge game will also feature extremely accomplished professionals such as Mariano Aguerre, Sebastian Merlos, Hilario Ulloa and Sapo Caset. The Pieres family, including Facundo, Gonzalito and Nico will participate in the high-level of play that only this event can offer to Wellington’s polo fans. Youngest member of the Pieres family, Nico Pieres, will be making his event debut this year as he was recently raised to 10-goals in Argentina.
The Lucchese 40-Goal Polo Challenge will also feature a seated dinner followed by silent and live auctions that will raise money for the Polo Players Support Group – the only organization that provides financial support to players, grooms, and other members of the polo community that have been seriously injured or are ill. Since 2000, the PPSG has raised over $2.2 million in funds that have been distributed to 71 polo community members in need.
