Wyndmont’s Game Changed Captures Hunter Championships at Pin Oak Charity Horse Show

Katy, TX – March 31, 2017– Wyndmont Inc. horses are proven competitors in both the jumper and hunter rings.  After an extremely successful start to the 2017 show season in Wellington, Florida at the Winter Equestrian Festival, Wyndmont horses continued to showcase their ability at other well-known horse shows around the United States.

This past week, Wyndmont’s winning Green Conformation Hunter, Game Changed, traveled to Houston, Texas to compete in the prestigious 72nd annual Pin Oak Charity Horse Show at the Great West Equestrian Center.

In the Green Conformation Hunter Model on Tuesday of Week One, Game Changed and famed hunter rider, Peter Pletcher, set the standard for the following two weeks of competition by winning the very first blue ribbon and Tiffany and Co. plate of the 2017 Pin Oak Charity Horse Show.  Game Changed and Pletcher secured two more blues and Tiffany and Co. pieces by wining both the Green Conformation Hunter Handy and the Green Conformation Hunter Over Fences. The duo finished Week One by winning Reserve Champion- never finishing lower then second place.

“He is super easy, always the same, every ring he goes to,” explained Pletcher. “I love him because he is just so brave and very willing. He jumps anything. He has enough scope to jump the big jumps, but also jumps over the little jumps just as nicely which makes him so nice to ride.”

Returning in the hunter ring for the second week of competition, the duo continued their winning ways. Pletcher and Game Changed won all four Green Conformation Hunter Classes on Tuesday including the Green Conformation Hunter Model, the Green Conformation Hunter Handy, the Green Conformation Hunter Under Saddle and the Green Conformation Hunter over fences classes. Pletcher and Game Changed were ultimately named the Green Conformation Hunter Division Champion.

After success in both Florida and Texas, Game Changed continues to shine as a proven winner in the hunter ring this season. Peter Pletcher and Game Changed will continue to represent Wyndmont Inc. in Texas next week at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center, competing at the Spring Gathering Horse Show in the Green Conformation Hunter division.

“I think he has really become a hunter during WEF and settled into the program,” concluded Pletcher. “He is just so willing at everything he does and that made for a really easy transition when I started riding him.”
