Wellington, Fla. – Jan. 11, 2023 – For the first time in 2023, riders and their horses gathered at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival for the Week 1 FEI jog inspection. There are 86 scheduled CDI rides throughout the weekend featuring 42 horse-and-rider combinations, of which 41 horses passed the vet inspection. The denied horse will get a chance to re-jog in front of the Ground Jury Thursday afternoon.
On January 12, AGDF Week 1 will kick off, starting at 9:00 a.m. with the CDI1* Prix St. Georges. The FEI World Cup Qualifying Grand Prix will directly follow. January 13 will be a full day of classes in the International Ring, ranging from the Young Rider Team Test to the CDI 3* Grand Prix Special. The highlight of Friday, January 13, is the first infamous Friday Night Lights of the 2023 winter season, set to take place at 7:00 p.m. This week’s Grand Prix Freestyle doubles as a World Cup Qualifier, resulting in a line-up of ten distinguished combinations. Both the CDI and National show run at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival from January 12-January 15.
